Velocity was set up in 2008 by Momentum Consulting Group. Velocity is our response to demand from existing clients for specialist services in the Business Support space. We offer new and existing clients expertise in recruiting permanent, temporary and contract support staff across all business sectors.
We have a team of energetic, professional and client focused consultants in both Auckland and Wellington. The Velocity team has a raft of recruitment experience between them and are completely focused on finding great roles for great people nationwide.

Emma Scott is our National General Manager, looking after both the Auckland and Wellington office's. Originally from the UK, Emma has been in New Zealand 7 years and has close to 8 years recruitment experience, with a high level of market and sector knowledge and firmly established networks. Emma graduated from the University of Nottingham where she majored in Social Policy.
Emma's experience, coupled with the high calibre of consultants within the Velocity team and the strong market presence of the brand, are proving to be a recipe for unrivaled growth and success.

Gaynor Topham – Key Account Manager – Auckland
Gaynor has worked for Momentum since 2008 as a senior consultant concentrating on the Sales, Marketing and Communication areas. Gaynor has over seven years of recruitment experience both in NZ and the UK. She has covered a variety of areas from public sector to worldwide organisations, recruiting at all levels.
Life before recruitment for Gaynor includes; management, business development and account management for over 10 years within the media industry. Gaynor moved into the Key Account Management role in October 2010 and is the conduit between clients and consultants.

Dionne's background in recruitment spans 7 years in both New Zealand and South Africa. Prior to joining Velocity, Dionne worked for Downer in a Customer Service Management role with a focus on customer service, administration and maintaining relationships both internally and externally.
Dionne joined Velocity Recruitment as a Permanent Consultant in 2010 in the area of Business Support specialising in Administrative, Accounting, Call Centre and Legal support roles. With a natural aptitude for recruitment, Dionne thrives in a fast paced environment and is passionate about people and relationships.

Ongelle has extensive experience in business support recruitment especially having spent many years within the Hertz European HR team recruiting for all multilingual call centre and back office support staff. Her last role with Hertz focused on key account management where her role involved managing and retaining some of Hertz' largest clients in Australia. She has over six years recruitment experience and 7 years account management experience.
Ongelle is focused on providing an effective and valuable service which results in building strong networks and successful and ongoing business relationships.

Christina joined Velocity as a Temporary Consultant in Business Support. Christina specialises in Accounting, Administrative, Call Centre and Legal support roles.
Prior to joining the Velocity team, Christina spent 2 years working for a global recruitment company where she specialised in recruiting permanent Accounting, Banking and Finance positions in Wellington.
Christina has a Bachelor of Commerce in Management and Human Resources & Industrial Relations. Christina's strengths are her people skills, motivation and enthusiasm. She takes pride in providing clients and candidates with efficient and professional service.

Lorna relocated to New Zealand from the UK in 2010 having spent over 8 years managing at a senior level in the hospitality industry. Lorna graduated from the University of Leeds majoring in Economics and Management. She then went on to spend 6 years at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant in London in the role of Operations Manager, driving the business to create the best platform to educate and empower their young chef apprentices.
Lorna joined Velocity in an administrative/resourcing position whilst looking for temporary employment in New Zealand. Now in the role of temp consultant, Lorna's aptitude for delivering exceptional service and her organisational and people development skills, will directly translate into this new position within Velocity. In addition, having worked in temporary positions herself, Lorna fully understands working as, and hiring for, temporary staff for both candidates and clients.

Hamilton joined Velocity in May 2010, however, he has been part of the Momentum Group since May 2008 as the Director of First Impressions. In his current role, Hamilton is responsible for the administration involved in placing candidates with our clients. Hamilton also focuses on assisting our team of consultants with the management of their roles, clients and candidates.
Hamilton has also worked in the hospitality industry for over 6 years as a Restaurant Manager, giving him the tools and experience to organise and host events for many corporate and executive functions.
His previous experience in customer service roles with Telecom and Westpac provided the platform for this role. Hamilton is customer service and details focused and strives to deliver for his team, their clients and candidates.

Rachael joined Velocity in January 2010 to deliver permanent support staff to the Business Support, Accounting, Finance and Legal sectors of the market. Prior to joining Velocity, Rachael spent 5 years working for a global recruitment company where she specialised in recruiting Finance, Banking and Accounting positions within the Wellington market. Rachael then moved into a management position within that organisation.

Prior to his recent appointment to Director Business Development - Wellington, Graeme held the role of General Manager for the Momentum brand in Wellington for over five years. Graeme has been with Momentum for over nine years which has allowed him to develop an in-depth understanding of the Wellington market. Graeme has, in his time with Momentum, also developed strong relationships across our client and candidate base and is focused on developing business opportunities across all our brands in Wellington. Graeme continues to also have the overall vision of the Momentum brand in Wellington as part of his new role.

Emma has been part of the Momentum Group since February 2010. She has now moved over to join the dynamic Velocity team in Wellington. With over four years experience in administration and customer service, Emma brings considerable experience and skills to the Velocity team. Her responsibilities include; providing administration support for our six Wellington permanent and temporary consultants and managing our online payroll system (FlexiTime). As our candidate manager, Emma prides herself on her ability to liaise with people at any level. She is open and approachable and happy to take your calls or queries around your recruitment needs.
